HELP!
As usual, I have overextended myself. For Squirrel's play, each family was required to join a committee and help with planning. I picked Special Activities because it sounded easy. Now I am the chairperson, and am going crazy. The play she is in, as most of you know, is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Special Activities basically means ordering and selling souvenirs. The biggest problem is that there is also a refreshment committee, so ours can't be candy bars and such... I'm not creative- at all. So far I've thought of:
Those plastic bracelets that every cause has these days with C&TCF on them
Water bottles
That's it. The cast already has t-shirts. I need ideas!
Anyone???

How about something having to do with each of the kids on the tour? For example sell gum because that one girl chews gum all the time and cowboy stuff because the TV kid is dressed up like a cowboy.
you can sell those little fiber optic lights that change colors that are attached to the end of a glow stick.
would pot be considered a refreshment though? I'm supposed to stay away from refreshments. Could I get chocolate pot? Hmmmm
The maryjane would definitely up the chocolate sales later in the show...

On the other hand... what a great mom you are for being so involved. Laina-loo will someday thank you for being so awesome.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I went to the meeting and we got things figured out (I think).
Carolyn, the flowers were a great idea. We are preselling those (parents have to order ahead of time.) We're also selling gumballs and chocolate candy gold coins (Violet and Veruca). We are also doing candy bars as a raffle type thing. (Try to get one with a golden ticket and you'll win the prize on the ticket...)
It's all going to work out. Someday I will try to say the "N" word. It's never been my strong point.
